CHP Integration Testing

CHP (combined heat and power) is an efficient approach to generating power and usable thermal energy from a single fuel source. CHP system installation can greatly increase a facility's operational efficiency and decrease energy costs. CHP offers a clean and reliable alternative to traditional power production.

The Cooling, Heating and Power Technologies Program Team at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory works in the field of CHP integration testing to demonstrate the benefits of integrated CHP systems in commercial building applications. We identify and help resolve problems that occur when combining different components into an integrated system, and provide educational opportunities for companies working in the CHP industry. Our on-site test center and integration lab allows us to evaluate, certify, and rate processes and equipment. To find out more about ORNL’s CHP Integration Testing capabilities, please contact us.
