Energy EfficiencyAs the world’s energy demand increases it is vital that we develop cost effective technologies to take advantage of these emerging fuel sources to offset the increasing cost and inefficiencies of traditional energy production. Energy efficiency is critical for our world today.Because the nation’s demand for power is at an all-time high, renewable energy must be utilized in order to meet tomorrow’s power needs. Industries, academia, national labs and the federal government turn to ORNL’s Cooling, Heating and Power Technologies Program Team for testing and development of renewable energy. The CHP team has a deep and varied set of expertise, including chemical engineering, civil engineering and mechanical engineering.
