Renewable Energy PowerIn the digital age, our nation’s demand for power has reached levels never before seen. The challenges of meeting tomorrow’s electricity needs must be addressed today. Within ORNL’s Cooling, Heating and Power Technologies Program team, we work to test and confirm various sources of renewable energy power to help promote the adoption of alternate power sources and to reduce the strain on our energy producers and transmission systems.Renewable energy power comes in many forms, each with its own set of challenges. Our CHP Program Team’s capabilities extend from the initial testing and analysis phase all the way through to end-use systems integration. We work to confirm the viability of the various energy sources and develop systems to efficiently convert them into usable power.
